finally home
Well, I'm finally home. I'm glad I went, but really, I'm even more glad to be home. I'm lying in my bed right now, absolutely perfectly content to just lie here.
The last days of my grandfather's life were painful, for him, and for us - especially my grandmother. He was on A LOT of pain medication, but he was still uncomfortable. At times, his ( Read more... ) -

Just wanted to let you all know I'm still in BC. My grandfather hung on five days longer than anyone expected him to and died last night. I probably won't be home until Thursday at the earliest. We're hoping to have the funeral Wednesday. -
death and dying
My grandfather is dying.
It'll be soon, but no one is sure exactly when.
My father and I are going to fly out tomorrow to be there.
So I won't be around for a while.

Holidays
I find it simply unbelievable how much I can't stand holidays. They seem so great, I wait for them, I count down to them, and yet, once they're here, I can't wait for them to be over. I feel this insesant need to blog about nothing. For once I have absolutely nothing to say. I suppose in reality, I always have something to say, but I have nothing interesting to say. No justice issues, no annoyances or grievances, no exciting news, nothing.

Cabin Fever
Holidays are supposed to be relaxing and wonderful. And I'm sure they could be, even I didn't get such insanely bad cabin fever so incredibly quickly! If school started on Monday I would be totally ready for it. I have such a hard time staying "sane" when I have nothing to do ( Read more... ) -

Christmas Holidays
It's Christmas holidays! I can't tell you how excited I am about that.
My trip to visit my grandparents was good. Qualicum Beach is still a little tiny town, but I really appreciated that this time. It was so nice, quiet, pretty and stress free. My grandparents are living in this really nice nursing home just up the road a bit from their old ( Read more... ) -
sick of studying
I am SO sick of studying for this stupid social policy exam. I've never been big on studying, but for some reason this exam has me freaked out. I'm tired too, which really doesn't make studying appealing. I tried to have a nap this afternoon, but the living room was so cold I couldn't sleep.
