You can't take a Big Mac into Burger King, just to see if you like how their sauce tastes on your Mcdonald's burger.

hm... but DOD and CP allow you to post pics of non-cp and non-dod dolls on their cyworld clubs, created by them, and allow meeting pics that are not dod/cp only.
It is all about how you look at somone bringing somone else's product to your store...
I used to hate volks position on this but I guess everyone is different and some things hurt more in some than others.

A doll is a much larger investment than a hamburger, it's not really comparable.

I'm about neutral on the "Volks elitism" thing - I have just about the same opinion of Volks as I do of other companies: I admire many of their dolls and products just as much as some of their practices bother me. But frankly I can't say that I have ever met an honest-to-god Volks elitist, someone who says, "I hate all dolls except Volks!" I have seen just as many people who say, "I love Volks resin" as I've seen people say, "I love CP resin;" I've seen just as many people with all Korean dolls as with all Japanese dolls; I've seen just as many people who dislike DOD sculpts as people who dislike Volks sculpts ( ... )

I don't see a lot of 'my doll is better than yours because it's VOLKS, hahaha!' from owners. In fact, I -do- see a bit more korean doll elitism, along the lines of 'you paid so much for your pureskin anias, my lishe is so much niftier and cheaper too! congradulations, you've fallen victum to volks fancy advertising! hahaha, you're an idiot!'. Which is along the same lines of why I pick on people for buying Apple Ipods. So I really can't bitch about Volks elitism from the fans ( ... )

Though it's never been said to my face, I have spoken to people who've pretty much told me that I don't "appreciate" the art form/hobby because I didn't have a Volks doll.

Also, from someone's(?) blog: "I can't justify spending as much on a [Cerberus Project]* head as I would on a Volks one." Uhm, what?
