As for employment, have you ever considered opening an occult bookstore? I used to run one here in NY, but my main career ending up taking precedence and I had to sell it. Still, for a literary-minded person such as yourself, it might be the right way to go.

Mister Giles, I don't mean to seem insulting, but I'd like you to explain exactly what your intentions are toward my daughter. You'll have to admit that from the outside it looks pretty peculiar for her former high school librarian to still be hanging around with her years after graduation, and to have packed up and followed her clear across the country to Cleveland. From reading the journals that you and Buffy keep I gather that nothing unwholesome has happened between the two of you, but I'm sure you can see why I'm concerned.

I don't see how this is any of your business, Mr. Whistler, but while things have gotten rather strained between me and my daughters in recent years I've never stopped caring about them. If you had daughters, I'm sure you'd be just as concerned if their high school librarian was traveling with them around the country. Perhaps it's all very innocent, but I'd still like Mr. Giles to explain himself.
