Hello 2009 ~

Feb 17, 2009 11:24

So I forgot to mention photos of Ridonculus went up on my site eons ago. (Except my host keeps on migrating my site and my site keeps on going down so mentioning it would have been pointless anyway!) I look so thrilled to be a foppish prince in a twirly little cape. Don't my eyes shine with happiness? Look at the enthusiasm! (I love the piece of ( Read more... )

I think your post just made my day. You are making Gizel!? I am so ecstatic to hear about that! I have been waiting for people, on this side of the globe, to tackle that cunning little man. I love him!
I have already made a Sialeeds and wish whole heartily to cosplay with you someday, somewhere! It is not exactly 100% finished but i wore it for a convention, no one knows who i am cosplaying anyway, so i have very little photos in it.

If we ever go to the same convention, i am sure my friends (who i forced to cosplay Arshtat and Lym) would love to bring out their costumes too! Which version of Gizel are you making?

I'm making the standard red uniform (have been making it for 2 years now I think? lol) and I just need to finish off the detailwork (the tone-on-tone painting and embroidery) and the sword, all the big pieces are done. But the details are the killer.

If a miracle happens and we ever do attend the same convention we need to do this! When my group broke apart I was so unmotivated to finish Gizel, but I really want to get him done, because I already spent so many hours on it (and because I love him to death)!

Ha ha I found an old ransom photo I took (a joke I did after I borrowed a friend's dress form). It's a poncho! (As you can see I still have a lot of the detailing to do!)

Oh i understand what you mean, about having no motivation. The suikoden franchise is not doing their best in motivating their fans in doing anything either... le sigh. Well, there is tierkries (that is another suikoden genre on its own)

Yes we must meet up! I love Suikoden and it is just amazing that someone wants to cosplay Gizel! i am a Sialeeds/Gizel fan myself ♥ Which conventions do you usually attend? I don't venture out too much myself. I usually attend Sakura Con, Kumori Con and Anime Evolution. However, if you are ever in Canada come and give me a shout!

From what i can see, you are doing a GREAT job on the costume! The painting (or was it embroidery?) looks exactly like the artwork. eep, this is making me too happy. When are you thinking of getting it done?

I shouldn't be saying this myself since my sialeeds was never finished XD; Let's face it, who is going to know who i am in a tiny little convention?

My group just can't decide on characters yet. II was easier, haha. I still really want to cosplay Alys and Rika, and maybe even Demi.

Ah, you don't know how much I wish I could be there to cosplay with you! Whenever I have the time and money for cosplay I seem to find myself in another country with no access to a sewing machine, and an ocean separating me from the nearest US con!
