GOF movie, etc etc etc

Dec 12, 2005 15:58

So the past two months I was supposed to live in semi-seclusion studying hard for the darn CFA exam (which, went *horrible*, by the way), resisting such temptations as fandom, internet or basically anything at all entertaining- but turned out the ONLY sarcrifice I actually made was seeing GOF two weeks after the whole planet had seen it ^^;;; I've ( Read more... )

*waves* haven't seen you for awhile ^^

i'm avoiding the hp fandom too... since hk is the last place in the universe to show hp4 (22 dec) *sigh*...

it's a difficult task, since one could buy pirate cds easily if you know where to look already...

*waves back* I come back in one piece, go me!
I wonder why HP is showing in HK so late? It's just odd!
Pirate cds are usually the last resort for me- the craving just gets too bad at times!

...my brother got one, he asked whether i wanna watch it...
and i went nuts, and yelled at him...

over half of my rl friends in hk had either saw it from bt or prirate discs... but my brother asking me last nite was the last straw, i went totally ballistic and i felt so bad that i apolo9ise to him this morning before i came to work...

so yeah, i still haven't seen it yet... cos i won't be able to enjoy it when i head to the theatre, espeshly since it's hp and we know the story already... but i really don't understand why they show it so late in hk... cos we all know how easily one could get prirate stuff in hk... it's just very stupid of them...

For once I've seen the HP movie before you had!! I thought it was cool, still gutted that the bad guy is back. (Man, isn't all the kids movie supposed to have happy endings, oh wait, this is HP :P)

For once you actually managed to resist the urge from every cell in your body to do stupid things! There is hope to world peace.

Welcome back. At least now I know you are still alive.

ps. when do you get the results back?!
pss. I'm graduating in May in absentia though. Might go to graduation as a staff, 1) to help out; 2) so I dun have to pay for the gowns; 3) looks good on my record - services to the community. But of course the main reason is $
Yah no more study!!

The following two books also ended in death of "good" characters... HP, not happy stuff :-P

Well, I managed to not see the movie, which saved me about 5 hours of time (including driving, eating before and/or after the movie), but I've wasted about 100 hours during my "study period" feeding my other fandom cravings. So it would seem that world peace is still quite unattainable :/

I would know if I pass or fail in two months, they won't tell me exactly what score I got, though. The pass rate of the same level last year was frigging 31%, I highly doubt I'd be among the top 30 percentile considering how I little I studied and how absolutely disastrous the test went for me -____-

looks good on my record - services to the community

But why would you want such record to look good though? Am curious.

:P Well, procasination is just what naturally happens to people like us. Although I'm getting worse and worse :( Luckily I don't have to study anymore!!!
Well to be honest, world peace won't happen until all killing on this planet stops. (includes killing of any creature, not just human).

I would know if I pass or fail in two months, they won't tell me exactly what score I got, though.WHAT?! TWO MONTHS?! How long does it take to mark them?! I hate waiting for results!!! Good luck. I don't know, you seemed to be able to just manage to pass it...So fingers crossed ( ... )

You know, I've never considered you as in the same league as me, when it comes to procrastination. You've fallen, woman!

I hate waiting for results!!!

I imagine it's their exact intention to torture the candidates some more, the bastards!

I've decided to stick around at uni like for as long as my working life

I'll know where to find you even if we have a fall away that last for decades then :-P

Hey, it's good to be 'back', in a sense *g*

*laughs and laughs at people shipping Zeal/HP films*

See, I thought GoF!Hermione was worst than PoA!Hermione, simply because her acting has gotten so much worse. Or maybe my tolerance for Emma decreases with each film.

- I can't find it in me to dislike movie!Ginny. Damn. The same goes for movie!twins, double damn.

I KNOW. It's like Bizarro World.

The ferret scene was awful-AWFUL. And because I went to see it with two (exclusively) Snape fans, I got zero sympathy.

- I find Moody a bit too fat and not sinister enough compared to how I have pictured him. Another unpopular opinion, I guess?

Add 'too old' to that phrase and you have my feelings on movie!Snape While I enjoyed his performance, the casting and some of the directorial choices were...WTF. But then again, casting? Not their strong suit.

Well, I am much more generous a person when the subject of my loathing is not at the same time enjoying universal popularity :-P In POA Emma was atrociously OOC but legions of fanboy/girls loved her for reasons beyond my comprehension, in GOF she was completely making a fool of herself, and I found that mildly amusing *eg*

And because I went to see it with two (exclusively) Snape fans, I got zero sympathy.

This time I went with a non-HP fan who thought pre-GOF Emma= LOVE, anyone not nice to Harry=EVOL, and got zero sympathy from her when I pointed my middle finger at the screen. But that might have been the normal reaction of anyone sitting beside a lunatic who gave a theater screen the finger?

But then again, casting? Not their strong suit.

Marginally better than their script writing bit, though :-P

Wow, you two are so tolerant. I banned my RL friend from going with me to GOF after she defended Hagrid in POA. (I did go to see Narnia with her, though, in consolation ;)

LOL, your cousins sound cute. What kind of test costs more than a 1000 bucks to register for???

I agree with you on Moody -I don't see the big deal other people make of him. I thought he was a bit overacting.

I can't find it in me to dislike movie!Ginny. Damn. The same goes for movie!twins, double damn.

Haven't seen anyone who can. Not yet. We'll see if they try to make Bonnie perform OotP!Ginny or not.

The dirty evil capitalist sort ;-P

Oh thanks, I got a feeling everyone else is in love with Moody. I did find him entertaining, just not too much how I see him in canon...

Bonnie will unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how you look at it) make OOTP!Ginny more tolerable for me, I have a weak mind!!!

It's so hard to dislike her, she's so wee! *pets red, red hair*
(I don't know what's wrong with me, really.)
But the real test is 'Can she make HBP!Ginny likeable? 'Cause that'd be some kind of miracle.

Movie Ginny was actually likeable. I can't believe I said it, but it's a fact. *waves to nice!Ginny* Too bad she's going to turn into an immature, bitchy brat in the next two movies.

Your icon...... I think I've just lost appetite for meals into next week. *gags*

Bonnie'll do a good job in my book if she fails to pull of OOTP and HBP!Ginny as she was in the books!
