I feel like I'm sinking right now. College is on everyones mind right now, and for me, I have no direction in what life is going to do with my poor mind after this summer. It basically comes down to two choices:

Moorpark: be close to home; my friends, my family, my girlfriend, for a little bit until I get my associates and get out of there. My ( Read more... )

I think that if you went to Moorpark, you wouldn't grow out of the shell that you're in. Not saying that you're in a SHELL really, you know what i mean ( ... )

I think you should do what I am planning on doing and just put off college for a year or a semester. You can always take one or two classes at Moorpark just so you are doing SOMETHING...but you could use the time to adjust to the idea of having a different life.

I want to move really fucking bad, but I know I am not ready...so I am waiting a little bit and then going where I want to go... if I moved now my mom would have too much control over things anyway... but thats just my situation..

Good luck.

Hi, i'm reading your journal from a friend of a friends page. I am going into my last (6th) semester at moorpark in the fall and then transferring to Art institute of Santa Monica. I'm in interior design.

I only stayed in Simi because I was under 18 and couldn't live alone or afford to when I started college, then I decided just to finish my associates, and then another year dragged on. On one hand, moorpark costs a lot less if money is an issue with you. On the other hand, Santa Monica is only 45 minutes away if you don't go at rush hour. Hope I can help a little.. I'll probably check up on your diary from time to time.

i liked moorpark a lot and im glad i went there even though i didnt last there very long. if you arent ready to move out of simi then dont. sometimes you need to take it one step at a time. i moved out of simi in 3 days and it was one of the best decisions i have ever made. granted i miss people and i miss my friends but also you would be alot closer to your life there than i am to mine. my best advice is just think about your options more and discuss them more with your family. any decision you make would be good for you in one way or another. dont rush things if you arent ready. take care.

Josh, baby, I'll always be here whether you go to Santa Monica or not. I know I won't see you alot, but look, we just did 3 weeks without eachother, yea we've been dying, but I'll see you more then this. I don't want to ruin what you want to do. If you aren't ready, then go to Moorpark, but if you are, I want you to go to Santa Monica and start doing what really interests you.

I will always be here for you, and I fully support what you want to do. I love you, and no matter what happens, I'll always be yours.<3
