i walked in monday morning with pain in my stomach, and limped out tuesday evening without an appendix.

some people get candy for valentine's day, i get appendecitis.

i haven't had a christmas tree since 5th grade. this will be my 6th year without a christmas tree.

i'm like hey guys, i'm seventeen, i can (legally) get us into R rated movies.

and they're like hey jenn, we've been seventeen for like six months.

and i'm like you bastards.

i haven't done any homework this quarter, nothing. and i don't even care.
i'm starting to feel this kind of panic, that doesn't actually resemble panic at all. i know i should be doing my work, or worried than i'm not, or studing for the ap exams, or looking at colleges. but i'm not. it's panic without the panic. it's diet panic.

everything is exploding in little balls of horrible all around me and yet i'm not feeling it. the earth is collapsing, the sun is dying, i didn't do my homework, and i'm like 'gee, taco bell is good.'

i feel like everyone is exceptionally good at something. there were always those few kids that everyone just knew were great, but i'm beginning to find myself inescapably surrounded by people with extreme talent in atleast one area. and i don't think i'll ever be one of those people ( Read more... )

if you could have stopped me as a ball of freakishly excessive energy between breaking things and being broken and told me that i would some day wear a nylon jersey with spandex shorts and hit a leather clad ball back and forth over a net, i would have laughed mercilessly in your face.
