I have removed my messengers until I get this worm off my system. Should be done sometime today. Its pissing me off, but thanks to everyone for your help

How well did the anti-virus stuff work? If that one didn't work, you can try demo software for better ones: try googling for nod32 and symantec anti-virus. You can also get some good free stuff: Spyboy S&D and ad-aware.

Disabling your messengers won't help unless it's spread through messengers which I doubt. Did you look at that page I pasted to you about the worm? I can find it again if you paste me that text from it. It includes information on how it spreads and how to disable it, but the disabling part is complicated so just sue the software I mentioned.

I'm sorry about your treatment, I hope you find something better soon :-/

The avg auto terminates and Im just removing it manually, its a pain, but im sure it will work. Ill run something after im done, maybe norton. And yes part of it was in my messenger html because it copies your address lists and sends itself to everyone on your lists. Thjis is a good page about it, and ive gotten it removed to the point where the page will actually stay open:

Well if you run windows update and get the latest version of messenger it will prevent it from spreading again. You can also try trillian or gaim, which it won't spread through. If you need help just get one of those and come online. If you remove it manually it's easy to miss something, so I would just try some other demo software like symantec (norton) anti-virus, nod32 and/or spyboy s&D.
