Wow, I'm really sorry that didn't work out well, especially with all the problems it caused. :( I hope you do find something good soon.

Yeah I have tried some homeopathic stuff, and none of it works. I would love to try acupuncture, but my insurance wont cover it.
LOL no I am not pregnant, but I am taking prednisone, which screws up your hormones and makes you gain weight like MAD. So my boobs are just going along with it, and they were huge to begin with.
I would love you to friend me, Ill friend you right back!

Thank you for your suggestions! Yes actually there is a medical research department at OHSU here and they do conduct studies in RA quite a bit. They leave the criteria in my specialists office. So far, I havent qualified for any of them though.

Yeah I actually did try that with no results. Ive also tried MSM and fish oil to name a few. I also tried some mixed herbal things, but nope, nothing. If you know of any others though, Im always willing to try. Im sure it beats injecting yourself twice a week with meds that could kill you, and taking steroids.

Hi, I'm Kelly. I came here from the rheumatoid community. Sometimes I like to read the journals of the people in that community just to see what the lives of other people with RA are like. I just wanted to say that the Humira/methotrexate combo has worked wonders for me. I never took Enbrel, but the nice thing about Humira is that you only have to inject it every other week. It sucks that the biological drugs are so expensive. After all that insurance has put me through, I feel like I should get to kick the insurance rep in the balls. Best of luck to you.

Thank you. Maybe I should have posted this in rhematoid lol. But I usually try not to bitch to much in there. I tried methotrexate, and it actually seemed to make my joint pain worse. I think humira is the next step for me. God I hate insurance. Its times like these that I wish for socialized health care.
