I was wondering, I've been working on my thesis, but I'm basically working alone, it's hard for me to stay motivated when I don't have a lot of feedback or camaraderie. I was wondering what sorts of tips and tricks you might have for keeping yourselves motivated for extremely long solo projects?

I have a bit of a dilemma. I find myself in a research department where creationism is tolerated and, in some instance, accepted.

How do I get my career back on track and find a job with people who accept science?

I'm reviewing the literature before I start my actual research, and my advisor just reminded me today to "jot down a few notes on a piece of paper after reading each paper". any fellow scientists my age? that is around 18?

does anybody have any idea where I can get the enzyme kinetics numbers for Pectinase? We have a program that we use in our intro biology lab that will let you custom design enzymes -- I'd like to do pectinase, since the rest of the lab exercise is using real pectinase and applesauce!

I've been hunting for a couple of months now, with no success.
