Our lab today consisted of shooting potato guns. That's it. No lesson, no lab report, no observations to write down. Just take a potato gun that the professor prepped, aim down the street, and fire.

How sweet is that? I think all labs should be this easy and fun.

Today we got to visit a wind tunnel at ENSMA. That in itself wasn't too spectacular- I've seen the wind tunnels at the UofM before. This particular wind tunnel's test section was about 8 feet by 8 feet, with a maximum wind speed of 120 mph. Add calf's head to my list of things I've tried here in Europe. And for those who want to know, it wasn't too bad. Probably not something I'd demand to eat again, but it wasn't too bad.

And no, I wasn't served the whole head. It was in slices.

In Barcelona, a few of us were walking when we came across a little kid, probably around the age of 5. He managed to flag us down, and was pointing at various buttons on a wall. On the train back from Barcelona, a pair of tipsy French guys leading 4 dogs get on. They promptly pull out what looks like a gallon jug of whiskey. A few swigs later, one points to my friend and says (in extremely limited English), "You....you are English?" My friend replies that no, he's American. So in the United States, we have the Dollar Store. It'd make sense that here they have a Euro store, but it never really occurred to me. Until I actually saw one. Yup, just sitting in a Barcelona street, was a store named, "Just 1€ Store." Quite interesting, as it made me stop in the street and just stare.

While in Barcelona, a bunch of us were sitting outside, waiting for a couple friends to exchange money. Not wanting to just sit there, I wandered off. I found a ice cream place, ordered, and wandered back to the group. So a bunch of us (as in, 20 out of 22 of the people in the GEA program) headed to Barcelona for our three day weekend. About 5 of us hit the beach the first afternoon there.
