It warms my heart to know that today (well, yesterday, but I haven't slept in weeks) hits you in the same way it does me.

I think as much as I love the music, I love the idea of Beatles, and the participation in a tradition that's much bigger than myself, or four guys in a band. I love the phenomenon, but there's a very mushy, lovely, real core within the hysteria and the mob fandom of people who really needed these guys and their music.

My favorite Beatle changes daily, but you can't help but really miss John today.
