This was lovely but it begs for more--or is that just me begging? :):)

It does seem as though Steve is still very much affected by John and his reappearance in his life. I hope he talks to Danny and doesn't shut down--that will be the quickest way to drive Danny away and then it will become s self-fulfilling prophecy that everyone Steve loves leaves him.

Thank you! I'm not sure I'll be able to write a sequel, but I'll see what happens.

I think Steve will try to lock down, and his success will depend on whether this story's actually established-relationship, gen, or pre-slash (I haven't decided, it can kind of go any way). I do think that even if Steve tries to shut down Danny won't let him and will try very hard to push back.

Poor Steve, John really didn't think before he spoke! Really this does need a sequel, this is full of hurt for Steve and he really needs some comfort!
