And the onset of summer is accompanied by an avoidance of all thoughts that seem to posess even a remote sense of depth. She is just getting by a moment at a time, which leaves little room to think. She says thinking hurts too much anyways. For the first time in years, summer has commenced quickly and silently, and with little promise at all.
