 i discovered my favorite emotion.

it's that instant when sadness turns into hope, because of a song, or a book, or some incredible thing.  that moment when you swell up with yearning.  not sure what you're yearning for, but just this deep deep yearning that's tugging at your heart.  and you could almost cry with joy because you've experienced this ( Read more... )

five years ago, elliott smith died on october 21st.  one year ago, my friend danny toole went the same way on the same day.

it's hard to know how to feel about it. and then how that feeling should be expressed, and whether it should be at all.  something feels unfinished.

I caught mono last week.  I feel better now but my parents are not letting back to Austin until at least this weekend ( Read more... )
