A/N: Alright.  First off, I'm sorry.  For what, you ask?  For the fact that I haven't paid any attention to this whole thing.  That I just read the first 12 chapters now so I could write mine.  And I don't think mine is very good.  It seems so inconsequential and ( Read more... )

Aw, thanks. I absolutely suck at ending things, and I was getting to the point where I knew it was going to end on me soon, and I had no idea how I was going to do it, and then when Paul mentioned nursing homes and I realized I didn't know if they would have called them nursing homes in England back then, I had to rephrase that, and then I realized how I was going to end it. Heheh. Anyway, thanks so much!

Oh, I've missed your writing.

This was lovely. It felt right, somehow, that they would make up the next day and that they would do it with so few words. They didn't need to say anything other than "I need you" and everything else was understood between them - so right for John and Paul, for the way their relationship appeared to be in reality.

Aw.

I'm glad you agree that that was all that would need to happen between them. As I was about to write that bit, I couldn't figure out what I was doing with it, because it just didn't seem to me that either one of them would say "I'm sorry," or try to explain anything. So I'm really glad you agree! Thanks so much for the compliments! :)

:D this was lovely. I loved the whole Paul waking up sequence. And being bothered to be bothered. I'm sad that they slept apart but it fits very well with what happened the day before.

...Mmmm, sexy eating. *fans self*

Heheh, thanks! I wasn't sure about sleeping apart, as far as I could tell it was left open in the last chapter, but with the way things ended, I kinda had the impression that neither one of them would have been willing to make the move as far as bunking in with the other. Also it gave me an easy way to start my chapter, hahaha.

Heheh, yes, yay for finger-feeding! I love finger-feeding people. So hot. Anyway, thanksss!

Why, why are you being so hard on yourself? This was so good and was a difficult next stage to take, after the last chapter, with that blowup. I think you stayed true to their characters--I loved how you were inside of Paul's head and his regrets for acting indifferent when clearly he didn't really feel that way. And you spared the words brilliantly when you had them simply say what the bottom line was, how much they needed each other. That was even far more effective and poignant than if you had them say they loved each other. Then there was the eating scene--sensual and funny (I could picture John making one of his spastic smiles and the food leaking out). Overall, you had them make up but not quite return to the level of sexual intensity as before. It was believable, since they are soon to return from their trip!

Thanks so much for the compliments and also for going into such detail, I love when people get detailed in giving me their thoughts on what I've written. I'm glad you agreed with my thoughts about them only having to say that they needed each other and not having to voice anything else. And I'm also really glad you seem to like where I left off with them, hopefully that means I've set it up well for magicaltrevor! Thanks again!

Absolutely adorable. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, it was very in character and lovely. Although I understand how you feel... I almost gave up mine as well but I'm glad I didn't and I'm very very glad you didn't :o)

Heheh, thanks! It's good to know I'm not the only one having serious doubts about being able to do this. And I'm so glad you liked it!
