If you did/do the whole Santa thing at what age did you tell your kids the truth and how did you go about it?

Is Riley asking about it? I think Audrey knows &just doesn't want to ask lol two of her best friends have older siblings who I think told them/ruined it for them &they shared the news with Audrey.

Honestly, I'm letting them figure it out on their own. I think my mom broke it to me too soon & I didn't like that. I'm letting them just go about their business on their own pace.

I'm not really going to tell them he's not real flat out.

My parents used to say something like "well, it's whatever you want to believe".

I think when I finally started to realize it, maybe between 10-12, I knew it was them but really hoped for the "magic".

Even when we were older, my Mom would wait until almost everyone was sleeping to sneak the presents out. I think she just enjoyed "surprising" us.

So I think that's how I will handle it with mine.

Flora is 9 and just recently she has been asking in a round about way. She said something like, "Soandso says there is no Santa or Tooth Fairy but if that is true then parents must give all the presents and stuff." I said "That is a reasonable assumption, yeah..." Then later she said, "If you buy all the stuff from Santa will you tell me?" and I said, "If you want to know, I will". She thought about it and said, "I don't want to know yet". :) I told her that either way Santa etc. is such a fun tradition that we will always do it, even when she's an adult. So, basically she knows she's just not ready to face it quite yet.

I also found out it wasn't true too early and it was really sad for me. My 2nd grade Sunday school teacher told the class.
