i hate politicians.

but even more, i hate when people decide not to vote for one because of stupid reasons.

if you like obama more because you like what he has to say, agree with his platform, think he would do the best job, AWESOME!

I think he would be a very capable leader, i just think hillary is more capable. anyways, thats not the point.

I hear you. There is still so much sexism in the US, particularly in the workplace. Women are waaay underrepresented in politics, and I think it would be awesome to have a woman president--particularly one with the vision and drive of Hillary Clinton.

although... I did vote Obama in the primary. either way, they have pretty much the same platform and I like both of 'em. Go Dems!

No, they actually both have the same goals for illegal immigration, ending the war, alternative energy, abortion rights, education, etc... they simply have different strategies for achieving those goals. The only real issue they differ on is health care.

Not to undermine Hillary or anything, but look at the facts. We were attacked by Islam Fundamentalists on 9/11 right? In their culture women can't show their faces, that has nothing to do with America, it's just the way they have been raised and the way they raise their children. They hate our lifestyle already, but imagine if a woman became the leader of our nation. They would absolutely go crazy. I'm not saying it's just, it's jut what could happen.

Now Obama on the other hand, the people in the middle east see someone that looks more like them, that's young, and that completely tears apart the "old white male" model that our country has become so well known for. Maybe they'll say "these people aren't the way we thought"

Not to say that should be the sole basis of our votes, I know I just can't stand listening to Hillary crying and bitching anymore.

you do realize that the US is actually one of the only modern free countries that hasnt had a women in charge or whatever particular leadership/government individual countries have.

I don't think that it a sexism thing. I think the US is ready for both a woman and an African-American. I just don't think that a lot of people think that Hilary is the right woman.

In all, I'm not sexist. If you ran for president, I would vote for you.

The end. :)

I dunno--on the internet, anywhere, a lot of the complaints against Hillary Clinton are very misogynist. If she's too forward, she's a bitch. If she cries, she's weak. Even on the campaign trail, someone yelled at her "iron my shirt!" and there wasn't really any media uproar...

thanks for the faith and everything, but i wouldn't vote for me in a million years, haha.

and yea, amy's response is right on. in addition, a lot of people think she's not the right woman because of her personal life, because she's not this untainted pure vision of what we want as our 'first woman president', but the truth is, she's a politician just like any of the other candidates. Personal isn't even a factor for them, why does it have to be for her?

i love when people say that, so that i get to tell them that we're actually one of the only modern free countries that hasnt had a women in charge or whatever particular leadership/government.

also, obama and clinton have VERY different platforms. health care, for instance, hillary believes in universal, obama does not. hillary believes mental health should be in every healthcare plan no matter where the plan falls economically. obama does not. hillary believes that all immigrants that have come over illegally should have to wait in line to become citizens like everyone else (they can stay in the US, as legal residents, not CITIZENS), obama believes in amnesty for everyone here even tho they broke us law...

just sayin...
