Some of that's true -- some isn't, particularly the bit about putting up a fight. It depends on the kind of rapist. Generally, there are four kinds, plus the "date rape" category, which is the least understood due to being the least reported kind of rape. If you're raped by a certain kind of attacker called a compensatory rapist, putting up a fight or even telling him you don't feel comfortable kissing may be enough to set you free. These are the kinds of rapist who think of you as your girlfriend and give you their phone number. On the other hand, if you find yourself with a sadistic rapist, good luck with the fight. These are the guys who have rape kits full of duct tape and sharp objects, the kind who tie you up and may or may not kill you. So, sure, most of that is good advice, but putting up a fight may not always be in your best interest. wow, thanks for the information and the tips. i always bring an umbrella with me when i know i'll be out alone late at night, it's kinda silly but it also reminds me to be alert.
