If you know me, you probably know that I hate LiveJornal in general. So, why do I have one?

Because my boyfriend does, and I want to be able to read his.

Besides, this will give me a good chance to write up my "why LiveJornal is the worst communications medium on the net" rant. :)

One day, sir, if you please, it'd be interesting to read that rant. Personally I think that though it's overrated, LiveJournal is a fine medium for certain highly-specialised modes of communication-rather in the way that, say, Perl does in fact have a few uses for specific applications.

In short, I invite you to a holy war. :)
