For those keeping track: Book progress is flying along. Publisher or no publisher, I expect to be DONE on the first week of next month. Then a short period of proof reading, website building, and finally I give the major publishers one last chance: You publish it or I self publish. Whee!

Over half done. If I stay on top of it, I should finish in about 4 weeks. Then the battle of self publish VS finding a publisher. The temptation to be one of the rare self-publishing hits is ever present, but I'll get more exposure going with traditional methods. I have good news on the publishing front. Hammering out details, can't get into that yet. But let's say that I've been assigned to a handler, an experienced one. :)

I've submitted everything I needed to for the 'Advanced' book proposal, the one that the publishers suggested that they really wanted. The project went from 200 to 260 pages, so if it's a go, that means higher cover price. And higher yields if their research pans out. We'll see!

I don't think Obama is going to do anything too crazy as far as guns go, but this is still a cool offer. Get a free year of NRA membership!
