Back from Mexico. It was a lot of work, and kind of stressful, but fun for the most part. If I had known what it was going to be like when I registered, I wouldn't have signed up, but I'm really glad I did

Well, my basic training starts in late August, and during training I'll get a chance to learn more about, and I'm assuming experience, the different service projects. Then I'll get to rank my choices and based on my preferences and skills I'll be placed in a project and at a specific site. But generally speaking, in City Year I'll be mentoring and tutoring kids in inner-city schools and organizing after-school activities and other community outreach projects.
