[Waking up in a strange white room with a boxy sort of thing that flashes images and voices at him now and then---that was a bit unsettling. The box hasn't responded when he talks at it, so he's done ( Read more... )

[He's been wandering the halls since he's gotten here, hasn't been that bold as to walk into the rooms when he knows that anyone here is capable of killing him, but the shouting has his attention. Looking up ahead, he approaches slowly.]

Lose something?

I fear so. A very important something! But in spite of that, manners--- [He offers a delicate-boned hand.] I am Klarion, of Limbo Town. Who might you be, sir?

Well, what does it look like?

[Brow quirked at the offer, he takes it and shakes.] Alex Forbes, of Yorkshire I suppose.

Where's Limbo Town?

Well-met, Alex! Limbo Town's many leagues away, I'd guess, and many miles underground. Beneath the subways of Manhattan, as it were. [He presses his palms together, distraught.] And the thing is cat, orange and white. He answers to Teekl. I simply must find him, but where he's at, I can't tell...

Well.. that's interesting. [Oh world, what have you done to him.]

I could help you look, if that works?

That is an offer most kind, and I would be glad of the help. Are you familiar with this place? I am new, I'm afraid, and finding my way around has been...interesting.

Unfortunately, no but I know there's strength in numbers. I just arrived myself, as far as I know.

Asides, better to find your cat than have it run into danger, right? [A nod as he agrees with the other.]

And then they walked the halls. crosscolumbkill April 28 2011, 05:53:05 UTC
Oh, very much so. He's very important.

You are new as well---have you, too, found yourself in a white room, with no memory of your arrival? I see you bear the same collar.

they're badass like that don't you know. faultlesscon April 28 2011, 06:04:21 UTC
[A nod as he shakes the object in question before letting out a sigh.]

Mm, I went to bed and then... here. Let's go then, lead the way.

All they need is shades and a strut and they're gold. crosscolumbkill April 28 2011, 06:19:25 UTC
[He 'leads' by way of simply heading towards new territory; he's been given some basic guidance around, but most of the pathways are new. They're also mostly alike, making him a little nervous he's circling.] And was there anything in Yorkshire to say why you should be drawn suddenly into being a prisoner here? Was there no threat, no sign of trouble?

Swagging down the halls? faultlesscon April 28 2011, 06:28:04 UTC
[Alex has little to no clue on navigation around this place so in a sense he's placing trust on the other.] Not that I can recall - there were murders, but that was solved completely the last I remember.

[... No he was not friends with the murderer, go away.] What about in Limbo Town, anything odd there?

Like a goddamn pair of pimps. New, wet-behind-the-ears, lost pimps. crosscolumbkill April 30 2011, 04:28:00 UTC
Unusual happenings there were, but that was some time ago---it can't have been less than a thousand bells since I was there. [His brow lowers.] Troubles there were, though, indeed. There was a great harrowing, and no one was spared like the books said they would be. [He shrugs a little.] But that was years ago, and I have seen many a stranger thing since. To find myself here, I honestly can't say I had warning...

[He tilts his head to smile up at Alex.] But perhaps what's closed away is only gone from our sight, not our world. Important things may be left in what I thought was done...or, perhaps, you thought. Were they solved to your satisfaction, sir? The murders.

[Listening as he walks beside him, he tries to take it all in, make sense the best he can. There's an attempt to return the gesture in the form of a smile, brow quirked.]

Warning hardly comes for events of that magnitude. It does depend though, your interpretation versus mine. [A pause, and he shrugs with his head bowed in mild thought.] My satisfaction?

I knew who it was the whole time - I never found the closure I thought I wanted.

[There's not the slightest hint of accusation in his blunt, friendly question.] Was it you?

Aww yeah now we gotta find them shades for real wait what. faultlesscon May 2 2011, 03:37:05 UTC
[Alex stares for a moment, and while most would be offended, he only shakes his head.] A roommate of mine. Fucked in the head, that's all I'll say.

You think this won't come back to haunt you. (It will.) crosscolumbkill May 2 2011, 03:53:05 UTC
Ah, well, we all have a murder waiting in us somewhere, sir. Yet you didn't turn him in? A friend of yours, was he?
