The emotions and imagery were so vivid in this fic. And I really liked the plot device of the clock/time passing. Poor Arthur. Only about 11,000 more days to go until you see Her in Avalon.....

Heeee, thank you for reviewing, cupcake! I'm so happy you did even though you haven't tortured yourself with S2. Generally I hate angsty fics but I had to get rid of the negative feelings so I can more on to the important things... FLUFF!

Oh, this was just lovely! Sad, poignant, and beautifully written.

I loved this line in particular:

"For he would rather be a beggar in the streets, with her by his side, than be a King without her next to him."

Thank you! It was a sad fic to write but I like to believe that he is indeed mourning for Morgana, even if they aren't showing it. :)

Yep- "Meeting on the Turret Stairs"- which, ironically, many people assume is a painting about Guinevere and Lancelot! But after reading "Mists of Avalon", I always thought it was better applied to Arthur and Morgan le Faye, who, imo, were definitely the first "forbidden love" story of Camelot, long before Lancelot ever showed up. :-)
