WOAH

Jul 18, 2005 11:24

Okay so I didn’t think it would be a great idea to post my thoughts on HBP so soon after reading it because that would have been a six page-long rant along the lines of ‘WHERE THE FUCK IS MY PARVATI?’ and ‘EW H/G *THROWS UP*’.

But now I’ve calmed down a bit(ish).

Lina, mouses don't scrawl sideways generally.

But did you read that H/P moment? I know it was just a moment, but it was there.

I am in bliss over Blaise. Mmm, Blaise.

I have to say I like Lupin/Tonks. I think they could have a very sweet snarky relationship.

Have you noticed that she is trying to cut all the dodgy pairings from fandom? By making Snape do that thing, it makes it much harder for him to have a nice relationship with hermione, harry, ron, draco (no wait, that would be cool)
And now Remus is with Tonks - no Hermione or Snape or Sirius.
And where were the D/R moments biatch?

I'm over any pairings I didn't particularly like. I mean, the books aren't about the romance and never have been. That's what fandom's for.

Lavender was in the book!! (but we still don't know if she's a brunette or a blond. I'm going with brunette because Ron fancies brunettes like woah. But also le blond...Draco.)

And Zacharias is totally gonna be important!!!

I mean that it won't move sideways at all. Just up and down so that I can't actually use it and I'm attempting to do everything with just the keyboard o_0

The H/P moment had me hyperventilating with joy. She loves Harry ♥

No D/R, but all the H/D shippers are celebrating.

I know that fanon is completely different from canon, but before this there was no real canon romance. And now that there is, it's a strange concept to deal with. That's the thing, the books never used to be about romance, but HBP is practically bursting with it.

I think Lavender is a brunette, too ;)

I liked the bit about Zacharias's dad ^^

*Loves you back twice*

Hurrah for Lav being brunette!!

HBP is very romance, but the romance pops up at the randomest intervals. Must say that Tonks/Lupin is intriguing me more and more. Because I like Lupin and I always liked Tonks.

ZACHARIAS!!!

Uh, your mouse should scroll sideways if you hold down the scroll wheel and move the mouse sideways?

Luna rocks my world.

I liked Ginny! And I did enjoy the Blaise/Ginny reference. Hehehe.

Yes, there was a woeful lack of Parvati, and entirely too much Lavender.

And when Dumbledore was dying/died, I couldn't read more than two pages at a time, I felt so sick.

I think Snape = alright.

*Huggles* I'm gonna miss Dumbledore so much!

It seemed unfair, why was there so much Lavender but so little Parvati? Wouldn't they hang out?

Do you think she won't be in the next book at all?

HARRY/PARVATI.. *cries* oh, woe. At least they had a conversation. Of course, my vision of them conversing involved them hooking up afterward, but you know. what the hell can you do.

harry/ginny... *gauges eyes* whyyyy.. "too popular for her own good" since when? *puts eyes back in* the whole thing in the common room after the quidditch game was sweet.. i mean, it would be, if ginny wasn't the one harry was kissing. cuz it just came off as gross. :)

ron/lavender made me laugh. funny how we want their best friends to hook up and jkr sprung this one out. :p

i liked this book a lot though. the whole dumbledore thing made me sad. and draco.. aw draco. *loves*

yes. GOF. Now. need. must see harry/parvati interaction

*huggles* I guess there's always angsty, unrequited love-type fic. Sigh.

The after Quidditch game thing was sweet :) So was Harry's comment about the last few weeks with Ginny being like something out of someone else's life. The rest of it was kind of sickening, though.

Lol Ron/Lavender was amusing. I think it must have annoyed a lot of people, but it's so obvious that they wouldn't last. I felt sorry for Lavender, Ron's never been all that nice to her, has he? :P In fact, Ron is not that nice to girls in general...

YAY GOF!!! *bounces*

Snape is soooo not on Voldie's side! Dumbledore was pleading for him to kill him so Draco wouldn't have to. He has to pretend to be on Voldemort's side but he's really good through and through. I mean how would Harry find all the horcruxes by himself..? He wouldn't, he needs Snape to help him. Snape is going to prove his goodness to Harry but telling him why Dumbledore trusts him so much which we still don't know!
I agree about the Harry/Ginny, I was most unimpressed. JKR pulled it off better than most fic writers do though.

I'm tempted to agree with the Snape-not-evil theory. JKR has thrown us for a loop before.

Then again, it's not like she hasn't disappointed us before either. But the love is still there!

JKR pulled it off better than most fic writers do though
Just, I think. All that 'I never really gave up on you' from Ginny and the monster in Harry's chest though. But when it comes to fluff, I'm hard to please. (Which is funny because a lot of my writing is soooo sappy :P)

*Hugs*

Snape is still a sexy bastard, in the deluded fandom parts of my brain (ie. almost all of it).
