Tonight Jen and I went to see James Frey do an interview, reading and book signing. It was pretty cool. The questions asked to him seemed well planned and he answered them in a very clear and composed way. Jen and I just got an email from T&S's management asking if either of us would be interested in talking to Alternative Press magazine for an upcoming issue featuring Tegan and Sara. Quick Update re. THE MOVE
Despite what some of you may think, I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I've just been without internet for the majority of the past month. (What a pain!) Lucky Day
So, it turns out that yesterday was actually a pretty lucky day for me. I was offered a position as a full-time senior kindergarten teacher at my school next year. Yay! stomach sickness
What began on Wednesday night is still not over. I can now keep (boring) food like toast and bananas down, but I'm still not feeling great. I took sick days on Thrusday and Friday, and left at noon today because I didn't have the energy to make it through to 6pm. I'm going to try for a full day of work tomorrow. BIG NEWS
Immigration Canada has a website where you can check the status of your application. Jen and I were advised not to check terribly often since they're painfully slow about updating the site, and it can be quite discouraging if you keep looking and don't see any changes. I've been pretty good about controlling my urges to check every time I get on ( Read more... )
