Or rather.... Pepe and I took the last 500 lbs of junk out of the backyard and took it to the dump. A lot of unusable broken, rotten, miscellaneous wood, metal, rebar, concrete, and other crap that had accumulated back there from both myself and the previous owners is finally gone. The con really started yesterday with several guests coming to my house which was fun. The first day of the con has somehow been rather underwhelming. For now I'll call it a soft start and se what happens next.

Hooray the heater finally works in my house! Using the stove for heat was ghetto, if still rather effective. Mmmm hydronic heat is so nice and even.... not at all like forced air. There are no noticeable fluctuations of temperature and the air doesn't dry out. It's nice to have separate thermostats for the bedrooms, but why is the bathroom the only ( Read more... )

Horray I got a raise! It's only 1.5% for doing a lot of extra work but hey, it's still a good thing!
