Yes, but if they choose Paterson, does that mean he won't be in the next series of Survivors? (presuming there is a second series) I do think he'd make a good Doctor but I'd hate to lose Greg.

I agree with you about Nesbitt. I'd like a female Doctor (not Billie Piper, I found her somewhat annoying as Rose) but I doubt they'll go that route. Someone also mentioned Sean Pertwee and Jason Connery, neither of which I like the sound of... Oh well, I guess all we can do is wait and see.

And I hope Jenny makes a reappearance soon.

I hadn't considered we might lose Paterson from Survivors - I'd hate that too :s I haven't heard if there's going to be a second series - they did seem to leave us hanging in the last episode, so fingers crossed. Guess it depends on the ratings.

I actually like the idea of Sean Pertwee - I've really enjoyed a couple of his films - but I remember his name was mentioned when Christopher Ecclestone left, and I thought they'd only done it because of his dad. He could work, I think. I suspect they'll go for someone more serious this time; someone different from David. Don't want Jason Connery either, though.

Just a couple of hours and all will be revealed...

I read on the BBC website that Survivors had really good ratings in its time slot, so hopefully there will be more.

Also, I just took a look at Demons - I'm not sure if it'll be awful in a good way or bad - and noticed that is stars Zoe Tapper from Survivors. So, I guess if she can do another series, so can Paterson (and Julie Graham, if they decide to re-new the craptastic Bonekickers). So I'll keep my fingers crossed for him.

Fingers crossed for Survivors, then.
Scheduling, scheduling. I don't know how, but I'd forgotten about Bonekickers - it seems like I dreamt it. So barmy.

Did you see the new doctor? I'm sure I heard a collective 'who?' echo around Britain. It could be a genius move - I have no preconceptions at all about that boy man. Now I need to know who's going to be the assistant....
