the usual process i get is as follows :
1. the flake -
me :"yo, are we taking your car, or mine?"
flake-artist :"was that was today? oh ok."

2. the detour -
flake-artist : "i just gotta pick X up from Y,but i'll meet you there"

3. the fade-away -
me txting = "yo, where abouts are you"
flake-artist txting = "just held up at X's, be there soon."

20mins later
flake-artist txting = "on my way, is Y with you? my battery going flat"

4. the take-down -
no ringing. "hi, this is flake-artist, leave a message".

i catch up with my "friend" later in the week and the story behind why he didn't show is HUGE!! of hollywood proportions. a tsunami, total city blackout and godzilla were involved, all while he was saving a baby from a burning building during a gang shootout, wearing a blue shirt and red bandana. pffft.

DUDE.
I've heard the same story. Except he was also running from Tubgirl while wearing a GREEN bandana.

Crazy.

i once asked a friend to go eat sushi over the phone. i get, 'can i call you back?' as the response. I already knew the answer.

5 min later the call is received. "I dont think im gonna go." I am ready to say bye and hang up.

Before hanging up - I get the barrage of excuses...
a) I had sushi the other day
b) person im with doesnt eat sushi
c) we ate like 2 hrs ago
d) I have to study for this test
e) Have to pick up something for sibling
f) Theres always traffic enroute to restaurant

Do you ever get multiple-excuse person? Might be related to the flaker...

Yea, fun thing to do is to just call them out on their excuses and watch them as they lose all composure.
Hilarious.
