History: [ HERE ] -- Hidan was born in the hidden village called Yugakure that was swallowed by the forgotten war, however Hidan was so bored of the pacifism that came with the tourists and became popular and whatnot, and with great frustration, he left his home village and converted to the dangerous and barbaric religion, Jashinism. Soon after that he became a new recruit to the Akatsuki due to his ability of immortality and was partnered up with another like him called Kakuzu. Within the Akatsuki it was their duty to take on the nine-tails and to release the power that was in the demons. First off was their hunt for the two-tailed demon cat and, of course, the host was beaten fairly easily, leaving Hidan to do his ritual and the duo finished their task and continued onto the land of fire to slaughter a mass of monks and collect a bounty ( ... )

Personality: There's more to Rude than meets the eye, though what meets the eye is a fair indicator of at least parts of his total self. Tall, dark, and silent, he projects a certain aura of unapproachability at first glance. Second glance, too, if we're being honest, because Rude is notoriously taciturn when you first begin to get to know him. He presents himself as a Turk first and a person second, and has a little bit of trouble turning that off even when he's not on duty. Indeed, being a Turk is a big part of Rude's identity. So much so that if it were to be stripped from him completely, he would probably still continue to follow their ethos anyhow. It's just so much a part of him ( ... )

On the subject of women, it's worth noting that he definitely seems to have a type. The women he falls for have consistently seemed to be quite... robust, but with a softer side. Of course, that's not unlike Rude himself. Unfortunately, this has meant that he has trouble separating his personal feelings from his professional duty in the past. Case in point: he won't attack Tifa no matter how much she wails on the Turks in battle, even if she's the last opponent standing. This has put him at a disadvantage before, to say the least ( ... )

Together with the remaining Turks, Rude pursued Sephiroth across the world after the assassination of the late President Shinra. Shinra's opposition to Sephiroth should've united them with AVALANCHE, but that just wasn't to be. The Turks still had orders to take care of Cloud and his party, they were just less of a priority than they had been before. After helping each other out in Wutai, the Turks disregarded orders to eliminate the AVALANCHE group on the grounds that they weren't on the clock. And yet, when Rude helps Reno dispose of Don Corneo for crossing Shinra (and perhaps more importantly, kidnapping Elena), he comments that they're doing it "because it's [their] job." This suggests that the decision to let Cloud and co. pass was more indicative of their collective respect for the group ( ... )

His footfalls clunked heavy over the deck but even then he barely heard them through the wind and roar. Inside rapidly became the lesser of two evils. With nowhere particular he had to be, it’d be easy. He’d just locate Hojo and then not go there. Cup of coffee. Chocobo stable. That was Rude’s idea of a good time until they landed.
