Personality: Axel is, on the surface, charming, snarky, and manipulative. To those he doesn't know, he wins them over with an empty smile and some clever remarks. He loves his catchphrase (Got it Memorized?) and always seems confident and collected. Because he seems almost cool, he's got a lot of acquaintances, which is just how he likes it--or would, if he could like anything. Axel flies under the radar when possible, because it's usually what suits his needs. He's always got a plan B, C, and D, just in case A fails ( ... )

Character: Rufus ShinRa
Fandom: Final Fantasy 7

Personality: Someone had once said Rufus exhibited the traits of the summon Shiva, and this was true. Both are cold, calm, beautiful, and deadly to the last degree. He exhibits all of these traits, and yet something seems to draw people to him, like gnats to a light. He is always calm, even under extreme duress, something that was bred into him by the Turks, and the fact that he would never show any weakness to his bastard of a father. He does smile, though the ones that are shown in public are the tight lipped ones that he has to show, while the real ones are the ones he lets out around the people he feels most comfortable with. History: Rufus was, and is, a product of the people who made him-the Turks and his father. The Turks raised him where his father didn’t, which was in everything. Everything that he learned is from them, and as he rose through the ranks of the company at such a young age, he came to realize that what his father was trying to do was, in hindsight, the right thing, but he was going about it the wrong way. With his father’s untimely death, he became President and used what he knew was the best idea-to rule the people through fear rather then through the media. The way he saw it, it was easier to manipulate someone through fear rather then gaining their trust ( ... )

Sample log entry: “It would seem that we have a problem,” Rufus said, leaning back in his chair as he stared down the man seated before him. The man, a financial of client of the company’s, seemed to think he could easily outwit this young man, who was by all means, still a child in the business world.

“I don’t see a problem Mr. ShinRa,” the man said, flashing all of his bleached teeth that could outshine a forty watt light bulb. Rufus tightened his lips into a smile, one that didn’t reach his ice blue eyes, and with a gentle flick of his head a Turk appeared on either side of the man.

“You might not see one Mr. Carlson, but you see, I see a problem,” Rufus nodded his head; fingers lacing as he watched the man suddenly get pulled to his feet and a gun get placed near his ear. Rufus’ smile was genuine now-he liked it when things got to this point. Of course they would not kill the man, as he did not want blood on his pure white office floor, but striking a little fear into a man could do him some good now and then ( ... )

Personality: When you first meet him, Sam comes across as the possessor of very good people skills. He is courteous and polite, and his humor and tact are always well timed. Sam has a natural empathy for people in general. But besides all that, he is a Winchester. Nice people call them willful and their friends call them just plain stubborn. The Winchesters are notoriously determined, but Sam is the type to set long-term goals for himself and stick to them despite changing circumstances, sometimes out of sheer tenacity ( ... )

Interrupted in his act by Mary, Azazel kills her by trapping her against the ceiling, cutting her stomach, and then engulfing her in flames. Infant Sam is saved from the fire when Dean carries him outside while their father unsuccessfully tries to rescue their mother ( ... )

Sample log entry: It was unpleasant to wake up on the floor, though Sam was used to sleeping in unpleasant places. Though, usually the uncomfortable place was a rock hard motel bed, but the floor was almost the same consistency as some of the worst ones. But at the same time, it sent messages of ‘this is wrong’ down his back and he knew that wherever he was, Sam was definitely not wherever he was supposed to be. Frowning up at the ceiling, he got up, massaging his head as a headache coursed across his temple, brief, but enough to make him groan in exasperation ( ... )

When she was eighteen, she moved to Midgar for reasons known only to her. There, she developed a reputation for being 'not for fucking around with', and after she landed a low-grade ShinRa soldier in the hospital while still half-intoxicated, the Corporation took notice of her. She did some spot-work for a few of the mafia bosses, save for the up-and-coming Don Corneo, because he was just skeevy and also she couldn't quite guarantee she wouldn't try to kill him, which is just unprofessional. Eventually, she was scouted for the Turks at the age of 23 by Veld, who was convinced they needed more firepower. She's been working with the Turks ever since, after a year and a half of training and another half-year of full Turkdom. She can see herself making this a permanent career-- she likes the stability and benefits and she appreciates the healthy fear Midgar has of Turks.

Personality: Madotsuki’s...not right. She seems a bit torn between being psychologically unstable and being just plain apathetic with a side of some subtle ~snark~. She’s not very social, and when she talks it almost seems like she’s talking to herself; fragmented speech as if she’s speaking as she thinks. She has a ‘matter-o-fact’ type way of thinking. It’s quite easy to put herself into words if she doesn’t care about the outcome anymore. If someone asks her a question, she’s not going to beat around the bush. She’s not subtle, and yet if she’s offensive she’s not really trying to be. She has no lies and everything she says is true whether you believe it or not. History: Madotsuki doesn’t quite remember what happened to her in the past. Just fragments return to her in the distorted forms of her dreams. There was blood, a lot of blood. She covered her eyes like she was supposed to, but was never quite able to rid herself of the images that peeked through her fingers. They’re long forgotten, distinct facts. But she knows the dead man who ignored the stoplight and the jellyfish creature that she always associates with death have to do with her past. Same with Masada-sensei, who took her to Mars at the sake of his ship, and Poniko who should be more afraid of the dark than Madotsuki thinks she is. They were all in her past somehow, she’s sure Masada was her teacher and those women, the Toriningen, that send her to a lonely place, were women she knew. But she doesn’t care anymore ( ... )

Sample log entry:Madotsuki kept her eyes shut tight. She could feel the burning sensation behind them, as if she had cried as she fell. Maybe. It had been such a wonderful feeling; the air rushing past her, sharp. If the air had been wet, she wondered, would it had hurt any more than it did then? But that wasn’t really the point. It was a beautiful feeling. She hadn’t noticed when she had fallen from her witch form. Probably because she knew where she would wake up; on the floor next to her bed, nothing changed. But now-now she knew she wouldn’t wake up. If she opened her eyes-well, if she even could, there would be nothing. Darkness. Maybe those jellyfish ladies would be there to take her away, but she wouldn’t be able to see them. A perfect loneliness, not like the type she had experienced at home or in her dreams.
