I've lived in Austin for five out of the past six years, meaning that I have been in town for five out of the six Austin City Limits Festivals. But I didn't attend any of them, and I never really wished that I had gone to any of them. Funny... I was just thinking about this. In all the years I have lived and been in the area, I have never been to ACL or South by Southwest. Main reason is because I've never had any incentive to go. There's never been anyone I've been dying to see, because if I'm going to shell out the money... I want to be into more than three acts. Goodness, and the dive... and being outside... it's not worth it too me.

Yeah, I doubt it will ever be worth it considering the heat, the drive (or bus ride), and the cost of tickets. Maybe if they had three people I liked, all on one day, and I could buy a one-day pass, then it would be worth it. But I'd have to ask my Mom for a ride there and back.

I'm right there with you. Your line-up sounds great. You should have your own music festival. MMF. Molly's Music Festival...and also your initials but only the VIPs will know that.
