What exactly does girlfriend mean to you? lol

to me, there are different types of relationships.
there are purely sexual and/or pleasure relationships. (that seems to be rather self-eplainatory)
there are platonic relationships, which tend to be more 'friendships' than anything else. they seem to be almost entirely void of sexual energy.
and then there are relationships, which i have yet to find an accurate word for...they seem to be a synthesis of the trust and beneficial intent of a friendship, and a strong sexual energy.

so when i say girlfriend, i am referring to the latter. because although we have sexual feelings for each other. we also have a very strong trusting bond, where we can depend upon one another for support, companionship, and love.

you can have sex with almost anybody (which is the philosophy a great deal of my friends adhear to), but trust, love, understanding, and companionship are much harder to come by.
