Well, a lot's happened since my last update.  Evan is getting bigger every day.  He's looking around, reaching for things, and showing personality.  He likes when I speak German to him, and I've been dedicated time every week, with some mixed in every day.  It's fun, and it might help him be more open to languages down the road ( Read more... )

Ok, I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd give an update.  Work is great, and reasonably fun and challenging without being tedious or monotonous so far.  Finally doing real work instead of classes.  Well, not really real work, but training jobs that I have to fix/change/draw as if it was for production.  It's surprising how fast the time ( Read more... )

It took longer than anyone thought it would, but he finally came out two days ago at this time. Very healthy, 4552g, 22". We have him back at home, and are trying to get everything organized and together right now. I have a few pictures, but putfile is causing problems right now. We're leaving for the hospital in an hour and a half. We won't be back without a baby this time. Pictures when we can get them up, probably early next week, maybe as early as Sunday.

In other news, we had a doctor's appointment today. We go in tomorrow evening around 9pm, and they will start inducing at 10. I guess it's a three stage process, because they give her another dose at 2am, and then the big dose at 6am to make sure everything is coming along. So we went in again last night, after 8 hours of regular contractions. We were sent home after two hours. Still no baby, a week overdue, and no idea when he's coming out. I'm starting work this morning, but they're being super cool about everything. My supervisor said the other day that it would probably be a deal where I was there for a couple ( Read more... )

So we're officially late. The little guy was due yesterday, but there is still no sign of him. Erin is getting frustrated, as am I, and just wants it to be over. It's supposed to rain/snow tonight so I'm sure she'll start once the weather starts to drop and the roads get slick ( Read more... )
