Well, the little guy has his first tooth.  It's his bottom, front right tooth, and has just barely broken the surface.  He seems happier and in less pain, but he has three more right behind it.  It's funny.  He's a little giant for his age.  He was 30 inches, and 22 pounds at his check up two weeks ago, and I swear has grown since then.  He's ( Read more... )

Thanks, everyone for the advice on the percocet.  The doctor wants me to take it every four hours, and to wake up if I have to.  Right now, the pain is waking me up, so I'm taking it pretty regularly.  I don't like how it fogs my head and makes me nauseus, but the sleeping is ok.  I'm also taking kelfex and flagyl, so maybe the combination is ( Read more... )

Well, I'm back from my surgery.  It went very well, and now I'm waiting to take my percoset in a couple of hours.  They gave me a pair of darvoset before I left, so I'm holding off for a little bit.  I'm feeling a bit loopy from them, but doing ok.  I'm probably going to take a nap in a little bit, so if I don't respond, that's why.  I should be on ( Read more... )

So I'm awake, I have to drive into the city during morning rush hour, and I can't have anything to eat or drink until afterwards.  I'm nervous and a little scared.  I'm worried about traffic, so I'm giving myself 2 hours to get down there instead of the normal 40 minutes.  That may be a little much, but traffic routinely stops or slows to a crawl ( Read more... )

Ok, the doctor was pretty cool, and I feel very comfortable with him.  I go in for surgery friday, for a karydakis flap.  Basically, he will make a small cut, clean everything out, and loosen the muscle so it falls in place and allows it to heal quicker and easier.  I'm not as nervous now, but still antsy about it.  I'm hoping I recover quickly so ( Read more... )
