I do want to have children at some point in my life. That point is becoming increasingly defined as "after I finish grad school but before I'm 30." The after grad school thing is primarily because I want to be able to devote a lot of time to raising a child. The before 30 part is because I hate the huge generation gap I have with my parents because they had me late in life, and because I know there are risks with bearing children much later than that

1. Yes. Though I can understand the reservations people have. I was surrounded by little kids while I was growing up, which I think makes you resistant to the things.
2. I don't think I want my own children, only because I don't want to deal with what my parents had to go through in terms of medical stuff. However... I'd probably want to raise an Indian (or Nepalese/Pakistani/etc.) child so that he/she didn't feel alienated by the rest of my family.
I do want to have kids. Certainly don't want them now. There's a lot to do before now and then, and I feel like then it's a long road where all the things I want come in second place... and that second place is so far behind it might as well be last place. Hmm... that sounds selfish, and I guess it kinda is, but the point is that when I am ready to have kids I will be fully and 100% devoted to their attention and needs, and I won't regret it.
As for my own... I really want to have offspring. It's pretty much the closest you can come to a victory condition in this game of life. The weird part is that, if having a family of my own is not in the cards, I would be content to just breed even if I could never see them. See, these are two different desires that I have... one is to be a father and the other is to procreate.
Hmm... I don't like my answer... I don't feel it expresses the way I feel accurately. Get out the salt for this one.
1) I think so. Right now I feel so unsure as to where the hell my life is going, I can't imagen I will ever be stable enough to even think of kids. However, then I remember that I am only 22 and hopefully will figure stuff out soon enough to have kids. Plus, I LOVE little kids! They are so much fun to play with or read to, or any of the other hundreds of things you get to do with little ones! :o)
2) I alternate between "I really don't care if they are biologically related to me or not" to "No way in hell would I dare raise a child that was biologically related to me!" My logic is any child biologically related to me will have enough problems in life, it doesn't need to deal with me for a mother as well! :o)

2. Yes. Maybe I'll explain why eventually, but I don't have time today.
