We found Dev a while ago playing with a cute white kitten. I went out and watched them play. They would chase each other around the porch or up the tree. Eventually, noticing that the kitten was quite thin, I brought it out a little bit of food. He then proceeded to walk into the house after me and wandered around, through the kitchen. Ugh. I hate it when that sort of thing happens. Well, you could always feed him when he shows up, just so you don't have to be guilty about him starving... Maybe everybody will get used to him and you can keep him ; ) Seriously, I hope he has owners who will start taking care of him.

Someone granted my wish and let the kitty in. I found him in the garage this morning.

What is appropriate playing between the two kitties? They don't seem to hurt eachother but I don't know if they are just playing or actually fighting.

Uh... my general rule is that if nobody is growling or hissing, things are cool. Well, if they aren't growling much. If either one of them winds up with serious scratches or bites, that's also not good (obviously). I find that cats that don't get along make it pretty obvious by bushing up, flattening their ears, lashing their tails severely, and growling loudly when they see each other. Two cats in a sort of yin-yang position silently battering each others' heads with their hind feet is probably okay, though : )

There's definitely growling and a little hissing. No injuries, though.

It's been mostly Dev being aggresive and the other one at times playing along and at other times growling at Dev.
