I had the sinus surgery performed early Wednesday morning and am still recovering. It feels like I have a bad head cold with a constant nose bleed, so needless to say I'm skipping Chicken tonight. The doctor removed the packing so hopefully I'll recover quickly now. I'm still quite sleepy from the pain medication.

I made it through FC and managed to have a great time despite the fact that I'm always feeling tired. I convinced my doctor to check my thyroid since my sister, mother and several relatives on both sides of my family have thyroid issues. I've also had a lot of sinus issues and go in for surgery Wednesday morning, which I am not looking forward to. ( Read more... )

I went outside in Ralph to walk about and caught up with some other fursuiters to walk around the block along Second street. I'm approached by a homeless guy asking for change and offer him the only change I had... plastic coins. He refused and stopped pestering us. His look was priceless.

I know I said a lot of things about this con before hand due in part to information I heard from numerous individuals and was rather nervous about the choice of hotel. I always said I hoped I was wrong and am glad I was. I had an absolute blast ( Read more... )

I just called the Fairmont to check on my reservation and even though my paperwork and confirmation says it's a suite they said it's a regular room. I actually wanted to change to a regular room to save money, but I'm still going to raise a stink. I recommend everyone call the Fairmont to double check their reservations ( Read more... )

I've still been suffering RAID issues but hopefully found the answer. According to a thread I found here the problem is greatly exasperated by running the smartmon and hddtemp daemons. I got rid of smartmon but forgot about hddtemp. Basically the problem occurs with many drives when there's a mix of NCQ and non-NCQ commands to the drives and some ( Read more... )

I finally got my SD card back from A-Data and it looks like they replaced it. I still say to avoid A-Data like the plague. At least on Amazon a lot of people are reporting failures of their memory. I won't store any critical data on it.
