Well, I guess I'm not so foolish after all. I just got a call from another j2me game company I'd interviewed with. They want to give me a contract position porting games for at least 8 weeks at $25 an hour, and it may turn into full time. And with my winning personality...

I hope so. Like I said, it's only an 8 week contract job, and unless
I can turn it into full time, or at least get a much longer contract,
it's not really practical for me to move, since I could end up broke
with no way to pay rent. But I do jope I'll be able to move up there
soon.
