You guys heard of this? The idea is, a buncha people start writing a novel on November 1st, and you get that month (and no more) to finish 50,000 words worth of novel. The basic idea seems to be to break people out of the "I'll write a novel one day" mindset, and give them a structure and a deadline, so they just write it, and damn the plot holes
