We have a small taxidermy rabbit displayed by my desk with owl wings grafted on. Every day someone asks me if it's real, and just now a student asked if it could really fly. I said yes, of course. I suppose it's all fun and games until the National Enquirer shows up...
Every single day about five people come in to the Nature Lab and proudly announce to me that one of our African clawed frogs is dead. The frogs are NOT DEAD PEOPLE. Just because something isn't swimming wildly around doesn't mean it isn't alive.
Austin was amazing! ...and hot of course! California was pretty much a whirlwind. I'm glad to be back but not enjoying slogging through a weeks worth of work emails. More later...

I'm reading a wonderful book called "Between Heaven and Earth, A Guide to Chinese Medicine" and it is really amazing me how much the main principals of TCM resonate with me and my feelings about herbal medicine and health and healing in general. I feel like I've stumbled into something really important that I don't know how I've been missing it!

Went to acupuncture school open house on monday, planning a trip to CA and Austin to see more schools, possibly doing the Eagle Hill medicinal wild plants workshop again at the end of the summer... Whew what a whirlwind!
I made a smoothie the other night with spinach, mixed berries, agave nectar, and dandelion greens that was so simple but tayyyysteee. All I want to do is blend things right now.
