You know what I love about Hank Williams? He's utterly uncomplicated. He doesn't have to make allusions or metaphors or use any other poetic devices. He tells a simple story about something horrible that happened to him and his new outlook on the world because of it, and sings it from the heart. The guy fucking yodels.
