As you've previously mentioned, I could see this happening only because it would take "having babies" to pull Zoe through this fight and survive.

Damn how I love that ending, too.

Her finger on the trigger, Zoe said, “You’re aware that ‘babies’ implies more than one, Sir.”

“I am,” Mal said, and Zoe smiled as they began firing.

Made me cry again, though, gorram you!!!!

You make *me* cry when you say my fic brings tears to your eyes. Wow, what a tremendous compliment, thank you so very much!! Someday, I hope a little fic bunny comes along that inspires me to write a sequel to this, b/c it would be hilarious (I think) to see Mal and Zoe actually become parents.

Oh, my. This was just absolutely wonderful. I loved the journey of it, going through Zoe's hopes for Mal and Inara to have babies and Simon and Kaylee, and then the last scene! This was great.

Oh, I like this! Good character voices, and a credible way of drawing Mal and Zoe together. Just aces, dear. (Plus, I bet they have amazing children.)
