  Attempts to repair the TV have proved partially successful.  The sound is back, but with a humming noise in the background.  Sort of like the Obama administration.  Time for a new TV (time for a new fucking government), but I hate the idea of spending money on such an idiotic machine.

I am taking apart my TV, in order to fix it.  The sound no longer works, thanks to countless episodes of me being plugged into the headphone jack, and getting up to take a piss, microwave chicken, answer phone, or any of a dozen other reasons, and 'plick', the jack gets jerked out.  So now, no sound.  I'm taking the friggin tube apart.  Wish me ( Read more... )

I think I went slightly insane, but I made it.  I am back from vacation and listening to the squawk and hiss of the tow truck scanner radio.

Music to my ears.  The diet starts again.  The heavy drinking ends.  And I am NOT, EN OW TEE, NOT, spending ten to thirty dollars on stupid amusement parks again.  At least not until I'm rich or something.

Third day of "vacation".  In New Hampshire with my parents, brothers, sister in law and kids kids kids.

Well, it went ok.  Not too sentimental, and nobody was a jerk (turn out a lot of folks went off and got drunk the night before, so they were all hung over and did not want to drink much on day of reunion...) and we all got along as adults much better then we did as kids.

Twice today, TWICE I've had people from some Iron Curtain country show up with credit cards that don't work.  Estonia, Latvinia, Sweden, whatever.  Buttfukia.  They get pissed at me!  ME, like it's my fault their card is from the Republic of Transylvania and does'nt work in America.
