I don't really agree with the article or the comments.

The reasons a woman might choose to abort is NONE of my business. Once we start drawing lines about what is considered an okay abortion . . . we may as well illegalize now. Both the writer and the commenters are the types to judge and judge until they themselves get into a similar situation.

I wouldn't pretend to know what I would decide if I was faced with an unwanted/deformed fetus. But I would hope I had the freedom to decide that for myself.

And I'm also including any of the examples she made of women who thought their abortions were okay because they want children.

No one should have the right to tell another person that their decisions were less validated.

It's so sad that these people can't walk a mile in someone elses shoes, even for a second. I pity them, and their hatred.

Though, on a lighter note, I have a feeling Voldemort wouldn't be pro-life, OR pro-choice for that matter! ;)

Those comments absolutely blew my mind. They're almost comical, except for the fact that those people are so serious and militant. Is that a Right-Wing website or something? No pro-choicers seemed to have anything to say.

Okay, so I snapped. I only got about 10 posts into reading the comments until I joined and posted one myself. lol. It'll probably get flamed and maybe even removed, but I don't care. There's not even any real facts in it, just what I view to be common sense. Meh ( ... )

yeah, no kidding : / But at least that might explain why there appears to have been nobody opposing any of those comments...

I am very open about having an abortion; I find that it tends to make lifers suddenly uncertain that I am so certain myself. It's a lot harder for them to lecture me on "how abortion destroys women" when I'm standing right there, clearly not destroyed, and I HAD an abortion.

On occasion there are crazies, sure, but I could not possibly care less what they think. :P

It's odd how the people so against abortion never want to hear that post-abortion, you got your degree, are the bread-winner of your family, and are living a successful and happy life (because you haven't had to support a baby/child).

The other thing that killed me about at least one of the commenters on the site was the whole "We've struggled with infertility for a decade, and are finally going through the steps to adopt... blah blah... there's tens of thousands of babies waiting to be adopted into loving/supportive families, how can you deny the people who want to adopt the choice of children" thing...

If you're so desperate for a baby, why did it take you 10 years to decide on adoption? Are you really going to be loving and supportive to a child you had to 'settle' on? People like that make me sick.

...much less that you now have # healthy children.

These people are interested in punishing women. They get angry when women don't suffer. I don't get it at all, myself, but that's their thing.

In other words: "Memememeememe.... WHY AREN'T YOU DOING THINGS TO PLEASE ME???" That line is so fucking self-centered it's amazing.
