I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on this, and I imagine you probably won't even know that I replied unless you've checked back, since you're commenting anonymously and all.
You're the second person to suggest that Harvey Dent may be suffering from borderline personality disorder, and it's a question well worth considering. Even if he doesn't, it's possible that his father did, so either way, it's something I wanna look into in a proper post that would examine Harvey's mental illness, and how--if any way--it pertains to real life.

Honestly, I don't think it's 'either x or', they may both be valid and after all, responses to severe trauma often involve variety of symptoms, not all being easiest classifiable. Co-morbid diagnoses are also a common, it doesn't have to be one single.

Did you read this post I did about an awesome Two-Face fancomic? It may be of interest to you, as it plays with similar themes to the ones you discuss, and I'd be interested in your thoughts there.
