I am glad you liked it. It was fun to write. Trying to figure out a Grumpy John was interesting. He keeps so much inside. What would be noticeable, but not over the top. Glad you think I got it right.

Awww! I have a huge grin on my face now! That was so sweet!! Like Libero, I cracked up with the purple monkey and skateboard ramp requests. And I love how the 2 ladies worked together to figure out what to do. Yay to Elizabeth/Teyla friendship!! I recently read a gen fic where Teyla had to "plaster a polite smile" on her face before talking to Elizabeth. That's not the relationship I remember. Anyway, great fic!

I am so glad you liked it. He does have a fun sense of humor so I tried to capture what would amuse him. I truly wish we had seen more Teyla and Elizabeth friendship. I think they did bond over being leaders.

They must have bonded over dealing with the boys ;-) There was a scene in Progeny, I think, where they gave John and Rodney such a look because of the boys' antics.

Yes, John has a great sense of humor and you captured it, as well as his child-like sense of fun.
