Vaccines

I am very new to this debate and quite frankly didn't even know there was much of a debate until a couple of months ago.  But now that we are currently looking for a pediatrician for our little boy, I think it's high time to educate myself about vaccines and schedules.

I know many of you ladies have some info and I would love it if you could offer ( Read more... )

I can ask my friend for you again since she has two little ones. However she is definitely of the belief not to vaccinate if you can help it...but I find that she provides information to back up her reasons which I prefer as apposed to just stating an opinion and that's that. Let me know if you'd like to hear her opinion....

There certainly is a lot of information out there and it's hard to discern the good and the bad. Thus far, after the very little research I've done, I'm still going to vaccinate but am leaning towards spacing them out a little if we can. I definitely don't believe in not vaccinating. Our baby will go into daycare and I don't want him to go in completely unprotected. But a quick glance at the schedule and seeing 7 vaccines in one day for a 2-3 month old just seems like a lot for me. I think it would be hard for any adult immune system to handle well.

It definitely is a hot topic. We all want the best for our kids and with it being such a controversial subject, it's sometimes hard to go through all the information and conflicting reports/studies/research.
