It's all about the interest! If you sign up for a new WAMU free checking account online, you can then get the super special online-only 5% APY savings account with no minimum balance. I already had a WAMU account and I had to get another one, which is silly, but yay for interest.

4.50% APY .... No min balance ... And it's seperate from your existing bank account. So a set ammount or percentage of funds can be set to be taken out of your deposited check each pay day, and the rest can just exist in your checking account for your spending pleasure. Takes all the guesswork out of it.

And this is a fairly popular bank here in VA. Which I'm considering for my "existing bank account"

If you don't already have an ING account, I can refer you and you'll get $25 and I'll get $10 if you open it with $250 or more and keep the account for 30 days... woo, free money!

I don't have the means to open an account there yet. After the first or second check and paying of the bills that need paying ... I'll open up a bank account here, and I'll let you know when to refer me.

Seriously impressed with your work ethic. Damn, Girl! Wish I could pull that off. (My screening therapists think I'll be able to within a year or two. YAY!)
