E V E N T :: MUSPELHEIM

OOC

Your characters are somewhere in the city, currently dealing with the effects of the fire version of the city, which is known as Muspelheim. They are also dealing with a few monsters known as childs, whether by fighting or hiding.

**Remember all fire element attacks, including the ones your character brought from home or by their gestalt count.

**The same goes for water/ice element characters only the opposite. Your characters are now weaker.

**This is an open log for different areas of the city. Feel free to pick one available or add one that hasn't been listed yet.

Any ooc questions can be asked here and an example of how a post like this works is here.THE SETTING

Despite the warning of the red sky everything seems to have relatively stayed the same. The city now drowned in a tint of red was the only danger that could be found and even then, the color seems more preferable to create empty threats. With everyone preparing, it seems that it has been all for naught.

An overreaction, perhaps?
False panic.

Yes, that seems to be the most logical thing despite a sky still burning red.

When you finally feel at ease to let your guard down, however, is when you suddenly hear those bells swinging back and forth, ringing (one-two-). You listen, noticing they are not in the same steady rhythm as before. They start to ring faster (three-four-fivesixseven8) until the sounds blur together to sound like a siren. There is a sudden burst of hot air, anything it touches around you burning up or drying out. A sudden change in the city's structural appearance-it looks long abandoned worn down by sand and dry heat constantly eroding away at the structures.

And such stifling air is like a blanket settling across the city. It becomes harder to breath normally, as if a weight has been pressed against your chest, letting your lungs only inflate so far. The hot wind stings and burns, although thankfully it isn't constant (heavy clothing would be best for those who wish to stay outside, apparently).

One could perhaps get used to the conditions, if the conditions allowed them to.

They don't.

A howl carried about by the wind makes you stop, makes you wonder if that was simply the wind and the city itself playing a nasty trick on you. Nothing follows, your tension easing-

-only to be skyrocketed once again when you hear an inhuman screech that is most certainly not carried through the air by anything but its own echo.

It won't take long, should you stay on the streets before you come across this creature and this one.

They hide in the thick fog, making their appearances hard to detect until its too late.

Be careful, this could be just the beginning of something even worse.

You are in Muspelheim, the fire plane.
